Product Description

An tried and tested aid for Eye or Ocular dominance in the world of shooting.

Cyclops has an inbuilt magnet which secures the unit to the barrel. The magnet is protected by plastic and will not scratch the barrels. Included with Cyclops is a wide elastic band for extra security if required. i.e. walking through thick undergroweth.

Cyclops can be fitted to either side of the barrels for right or left eye dominance correction.

Shooting with both eyes open is hugely beneficial and closing one eye will be history using Cyclops.

Having all round vision is infinitely preferable for obvious safety reasons. So wearing an eye patch or sticking patches on glasses can be dispensed with if you attach Cyclops.

Because Cyclops is attached magnetically , it can be removed by hand after a drive or stand and placed in the pocket, allowing the gun to slide into the slip unhindered.

Also, during instruction, it can be attached quickly to find out whether or not it is helpful. A must for all Shooting Schools, Grounds and instructors.

So what is Ocular Dominance

the priority of one eye over the other as regards preference of use or sharpness of vision.

Here's an easy dominant eye test:

1.Extend one arm out, holding the thumb of that hand in an upright position. (Or you could use your index finger instead of your thumb.)

2.Keeping both eyes open and focused on a distant object, superimpose your thumb on that object. (Don't worry if it looks like your thumb partially disappears — that's normal.)

3.Alternately close one eye at a time.

4.The eye that keeps your thumb directly in front of the object while the other eye is closed is your dominant eye.

I haven't done much shooting yet, but the first time I attempted to put the elastic on it broke apart. so I am hoping you will send me at least one replacement.
